Here is our family’s meal plan for this week. I only plan breakfast and dinners as we tend to eat leftovers for lunch or stick with simple sandwiches and fruit and veggies. Breakfast is in orange and dinner in blue. Links for some recipes are provided.
|Scrambled Eggs with homemade pop tarts (make ahead on Sunday)||Soaked oatmeal (recipe coming soon) with bananas and dried (apple juice sweetened) cranberries with raw honey and raw milk strawberries on the side
||Creamed Kale and Eggs with homemade almond butter on toast
||Homemade Granola (and a 1/4 cup black strap molasses before baking this week) with raw milk and berries||Smoothies:(Frozen raspberries and blueberries with bananas, pineapple, raw milk, plain whole milk yogurt, spinach, flax seed, and honey)with toast and real butter||Egg in the hole with cantaloupe slices and blueberries||Homemade whole wheat waffles with blueberries on top with real butter and maple syrup and orange slices|
|Roasted whole chicken with roasted olive oil/ rosemary potato wedges and green beans with soaked biscuits and real butter||Grilled ham (from pastured pigs) and sharp cheddar cheese on whole wheat bread sandwiches with sautéed greens and organic corn on the cob (corn is a huge GMO if not organic)||Tacos with grass-fed ground beef with homemade salsa (use diced tomatoes in place of Rotel), avocados, organic sour cream (we use raw), chopped cilantro, and torn spinach, in Ezekial corn tortillas||Whole Wheat Spaghetti and Meatballs with homemade sauce and green salad with homemade dressing and roasted cauliflower(cut cauliflower into pieces mix with real salt, olive oil, a bit of lemon juice, and pepper, and roast for 30 minutes @ 400||Homemade pizza, ½ cheese, ½ veggies with fruit salad: pineapple, cantaloupe, apples (Perfect Homemade pizza and sauce recipe coming this week to the blog)||Broccoli cheese soup using chicken broth from freezer in homemade bread bowls (make dough ahead of time and freeze defrost Friday night to cook today) and green salad with homemade dressing||Easy Quesadillas: Ezekial tortillas stuffed with Crock pot Refried Beans (cooked overnight and freeze leftover beans), salsa, red onions, steamed kale, and cheddar cheese, brown tortillas once filled on the stove top on each side serve with fruit|
Snacks this week: Celery and peanut butter, apple slices, air popped popcorn with real salt and real butter and coconut oil, homemade yogurt and berry sauce (recipes coming to the blog this week!! I’m excited! ), orange slices, cheese (chopped yourself), smoothies, carrot and cucumber slices with hummus (our coop is trying out a new homemade hummus this week, but I have provided our favorite recipe in the link), homemade Lara Bars (Balls).
