In today’s podcast episode, I’m joined by Dr. Josh Axe, a name that most of you are probably very familiar with.

Dr. Axe is a doctor of chiropractic, certified doctor of natural medicine and clinical nutritionist. He runs the popular health website, and a functional medicine clinic in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Axe is the author of several books, including his latest book which we’re talking about today: Keto Diet.

In today’s episode, we’re talking about keto. Dr. Axe answers the question, What exactly is keto? And shares his balanced approach to keto. We also talk about what it looks like to be in ketosis, who should consider a keto diet and who should not, if keto is safe for women, and so much more.

Live Simply Podcast: Keto 101 with Dr. Josh Axe

I’ve received many questions over the past year on the topic of keto, and being someone who hasn’t practiced keto or spent a lot of time researching it, I’ve been hesitant to share anything on this subject. When I saw Dr. Axe was coming out with a book on this subject, I knew he was the perfect guest to have on the show.

I personally don’t follow the keto diet, and don’t plan on doing so anytime soon. Keto is a variation of a real food lifestyle and one that can be followed for specific reasons, as Dr. Axe shares. I wanted to talk with Dr. Axe about this topic since it’s such a trending subject and there’s a lot of information out there and a lot of myths.  If you’re considering keto, I hope today’s episode helps you navigate this way of eating in a responsible and body-friendly way. Dr. Axe is a wealth of information on this subject.
