Instagram post 2198252565280658293_30915106 Weekend plans: make homemade hot chocolate and watch Baby Yoda 🤣❤️! This is one tradition the kids look forward to every holiday season—the hot chocolate portion of those plans. The super easy recipe is on the blog (head over to @livesimplymom and the clickable link will take you there). https://livesimply.me/make-homemade-hot-chocolate-easy-stove-top-recipe/
Instagram post 2188734903676627189_30915106 “The first supermarket supposedly appeared on the American landscape in 1946. That is not very long ago. Until then, where was all the food? Dear folks, the food was in homes, gardens, local fields, and forests. It was near kitchens, near tables, near bedsides. It was in the pantry, the cellar, the backyard.” -Joel Salatin, This Ain’t Normal: A Farmer’s Advice for Happier Hens, Healthier People, and a Better World (<—Next to any Michael Pollan books, this is a must read!) #farmersmarket #wapf #wapfkids #groceriesshopping #groceries #organic #natural #stpetersburgflorida #saturdaymorningmarket #saturdaymorningmarketstpete #littlepondfarm #betterhomesandgardens #kitchensofinstagram #livesimplyblog
Instagram post 2183029157131581567_30915106 What's your favorite Thanksgiving food? (traditional or not) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Mine? Stuffing (or dressing, depending on where you live). Always the stuffing! After that, it's definitely pumpkin pie (by the way, I highly recommend the recipe on the blog--so good and 100% sweetened with maple syrup and no condensed milk). There's a recipe link in my profile (click over to @livesimplymom, the blue link there, and then this photo) for that recipe and many more! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Instagram post 2182191635302154368_30915106 Do you love castile soap? It's become one of my favorite all-purpose ingredients to use for cleaning and in the bathroom! Dr. Bronner's is a popular brand of castile that's super easy to find in most stores (and online). It's a budget-friendly product that can be used in so many different ways and one of the easiest products to pick up and start using when making the switch to non-toxic products. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Laundry Soap: Use the bar castile soap in a powder soap or make a liquid soap with the liquid castile. Both recipes can be found on Live Simply the blog, just google “Live Simply laundry soap.” In a pinch, I've even added castile soap, as is, directly to the washer detergent bin. Just a few squirts. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Body Soap: No need to buy fancy or expensive body washes or soaps. Just pick up a bar of castile soap or liquid castile soap. Our family uses the bar. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. All-Purpose Surface Cleaner: Don't like the smell of vinegar? Then castile soap is your friend when it comes to non-toxic cleaning. Combine 2 cups distilled water and 2 TB castile soap in a 16-ounce spray bottle. Use as an all-purpose spray cleaner throughout the house.

Instagram post 2181015905866415491_30915106 WINTER MINTY MOCHA MASK ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2 TB cacao powder or cocoa powder
2 TB plain whole milk yogurt
1 tsp honey
1 drop peppermint essential oil
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A #DIY seasonal facial mask. The perfect way to practice caring for yourself during the holiday season. This face mask is made with cacao powder (AKA: chocolate), the same ingredient used to make homemade hot chocolate. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Cacao is rich in antioxidants. Yogurt is added to help exfoliate the skin. Honey is added to help hydrate the skin. Finally, peppermint essential oil adds a seasonal scent and warm tingle to the mask. <–It’s my favorite part!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Yes, I know what you’re thinking…
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s true…
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You can eat this mask.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It looks just like chocolate pudding. I personally don’t recommend ingesting essential oils (no matter what brand you choose to use), but everything else is 100% edible. When is the last time you purchased a mask from the store that made that claim?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The next time you’re making homemade hot chocolate to share with your family, why not also make yourself a face mask? Hot chocolate and a chocolate face mask. That sounds like an incredible way to treat yourself for the holidays. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
