A Grateful Giveaway: 48 Hours to Win

Many of us have spent hours preparing for today–a day of celebration, family, delicious food, but most of all gratitude. After the cooking has been completed and the dishes are piled as high as Mount Everest, we sit back to reflect on the blessings we have, both great and small.

Today, as I reflect on my blessings with a grateful heart, I think of this blog.

A mere seven months ago I had a crazy whim of an idea to start a little blog. I didn’t know what I was doing, but I knew I loved to cook, create, and inspire and be inspired by others.  In seven months of blogging, I have learned so much, befriended some gifted bloggers, and met some pretty amazing and inspiring people–you all!  I am blessed to hear your parenting stories, food discoveries, challenges and victories, and seeing the photos you send of the beautiful meatloaf and breads you make from recipes here at Live Simply.

I know, I’m getting all gushy. Think of this as a big virtual hug this Thanksgiving.

To express my thankfulness for you, my readers, I’m giving away two of my favorite holiday resources just in time for all that baking you are getting ready to embark on. That is once you get that mountain of dishes completed.

(On Sunday, I’ll be sharing that HUGE GIVEAWAY I talked about the other day. It’s going to be big with over $250 worth of favorite kitchen tools.)

The Giveaway:

 Ceramic Baking Stone:

This baking stone is my absolute favorite and is used daily in my kitchen. From homemade pizza (the secret to perfect pizza crust) to kale chips to cookies. This stone bakes everything perfectly. In fact, I love this particular baking stone so much, I own three. With the holidays approaching, this baking stone will be used a lot. Can you say Christmas cookies?

Holiday Cookbook:

I have a deep love for Ree Drummond (AKA Pioneer Woman). I want to live her life or at least live in her kitchen. A few weeks ago while at Costco I found her new cookbook, The Pioneer Woman Cooks: A Year of Holidays. I picked it up, thumbed through a few pages, and was immediately sucked in. The big gorgeous pictures of mouth-watering holiday food, the recipes, take me to that place. Needless to say, I was sucked in enough to buy it. This cookbook is literally one of the most amazing holiday cookbooks I’ve ever seen. I needed this cookbook. You need this cookbook!

We could really use the baking stone – we burned our pizza on Thanksgiving Eve! I love Ree, too. Thanks, Kristin, for the great giveaways – you’re fabulous!
