Fall is in the air. While most of the country is preparing for boot weather and falling leaves, in Florida we celebrate with ice cream. When it’s still 85 degrees in October, a cold treat with the warm flavors of fall is the perfect way to embrace the seasonal change. It’s time to leave behind the vanilla bean and scoop pumpkin pie into bowls or cones.
Today is a bit different. Instead of gathering here on Live Simply to enjoy an ice cream cone (by the way, I like the brand Let’s Do Organic—they are much cheaper at Whole Foods or health food stores compared to Amazon) and talk about fall time, I’m hanging out over on The Kitchenthusiast. Come over and join me, I’m waiting for you. And, there’s ice cream!!

Note: This recipe uses organic cane sugar (a special treat in our house reserved for some cookies or ice cream). A light honey (like Orange Blossom) may be used instead.
